DouDoujin Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as "this Policy") outlines the handling of information (hereinafter referred to as "User Information") of users (hereinafter referred to as "Users") who use the services (hereinafter referred to as "the Service") provided by DouDouDoujin Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "the Company").

Article 1: Definitions
In this Policy, "Personal Information" refers to personal information as defined in Article 2, Paragraph 1 of the Act on Protection of Personal Information.

Article 2: Language
This Policy and any Individual Terms are provided in Japanese as the official version. In the event of a discrepancy between the Japanese version and any other language versions, the Japanese version shall prevail.

Article 3: Methods of Obtaining Personal Information
1. The Company shall acquire Personal Information of Users within the scope necessary for providing the Service. Any additional acquisition of Personal Information will be done in a proper and fair manner without obtaining it through unauthorized means against the User's will.

Article 4: Information Acquired and Intended Purpose
The Company may obtain the following User Information for the purposes stated below in each item or may acquire such information in the future:

1. General Information
   (1) Email address, password
   Acquisition Timing: At the time of account creation for the Service
   Purpose of Use:
   - To provide the Service and display appropriate content.
   - To prevent activity patterns that violate the Service Terms of Use and to resolve operational issues.
   - To create statistical data on User usage patterns (data will be processed to prevent individual identification when creating such data).
   - To confirm applications for email delivery services and to deliver emails.
   - To notify Users of various membership services and other service information.
   - To request cooperation in surveys, participation in events, and to report results.
   - To understand the usage status of products and services and to communicate information on companies/organizations that may be beneficial to Users.

   (2) Email address, User account, inquiry content
   Acquisition Timing: When inquiring about the Service
   Purpose of Use: For responding to inquiries.
   *Note: In some services, Users may be required to enter a nickname or other name.*

   (3) Internet domain name, IP address, search query within the Service, other usage information related to the Service, and other information posted on the Service
   Acquisition Timing: During Service usage
   Purpose of Use:
   - To improve the Service through analysis of User environment.
   - To develop new services by the Company.
   - To protect the Service from spam or other unauthorized activities on online forms and provide necessary data to third parties (including those outside Japan) for this purpose.
   - To prevent fraudulent use of the Service and any other prohibited usage as defined in the Service Terms of Use.

   (4) Cookies and other behavioral history related to the User’s use of the Service
   Acquisition Timing: During Service usage
   Purpose of Use:
   - To understand User usage and improve the Service and develop new services.
   - To deliver personalized content and ads within the Service.
   *Refer to "Article 14: Use of Cookies and Advertising Identifiers" for more details.*

   (5) Information regarding the receipt and opening of emails sent by the Company to Users
   Acquisition Timing: When the Company sends emails to Users
   Purpose of Use: To confirm receipt and opening of emails.
   *Note: Only when the User's email software confirmation function is used.*

Article 5: Restrictions on Use of Personal Information
The Company shall use Personal Information obtained through the use of the Service within the scope necessary to achieve the purposes of use above, unless one of the following conditions applies:

1. When based on laws and regulations.
2. When necessary to protect the life, body, or property of a person and obtaining consent is difficult.
3. When particularly necessary for public health improvement or promoting sound development of children and obtaining consent is difficult.
4. When it is necessary to cooperate with national institutions, local governments, or parties entrusted by them to perform legally prescribed duties, and obtaining consent may hinder the performance of those duties.

Article 6: Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties
1. The Company will not provide Personal Information among User Information to third parties (excluding those specified in Article 23, Paragraph 5 of the Act on the Protection of Personal Information) except in the cases stipulated below or in Article 6, Paragraph 2:
   (1) With prior consent from the User.
   (2) When based on laws and regulations.
   (3) When necessary to protect the life, body, or property of a person and obtaining consent is difficult.
   (4) When particularly necessary for public health improvement or promoting sound development of children and obtaining consent is difficult.
   (5) When cooperation is necessary for national or local authorities or their designated parties to perform legally prescribed duties, and obtaining consent may hinder the performance of those duties.
   (6) When the Company receives an inquiry from a person with legal authority for inquiry, including law enforcement agencies, prosecutors, and tax authorities, or other legally designated public authorities, or when the Company deems it to be a case of emergency evacuation or legitimate self-defense.

2. The Company may provide Personal Information among User Information to third parties as specified below:
   (1) When deemed necessary by the Company to provide the Service.
   (2) When requested by courts, administrative agencies, supervisory authorities, or other public authorities to provide User Information.
   (3) When the Company deems it necessary to disclose information to resolve trouble caused by a User to a third party.
   (4) When the Company deems information disclosure necessary to protect the rights and interests of the Service Users and third parties.
   (5) In any other cases deemed necessary for maintaining the Service.

3. In cases specified below, the Company may provide Personal Information within User Information to third parties without the consent of the User in accordance with Article 27, Paragraph 5 of the Act on the Protection of Personal Information:
   (1) When outsourcing part or all of business operations to trusted companies (including sole proprietors) who have signed confidentiality agreements for purposes including processing User Information, providing information to Users, conducting campaigns or surveys, among others.
   (2) When delegating shipping of items to contractors.
   (3) When transferring the business through a business transfer or similar measures.

4. The Company may aggregate or analyze individual Personal Information and disclose statistical data in a format that does not identify individuals to provide statistical information to third parties.

5. The Company collects anonymous traffic data using external services to measure usage frequency of the Service, with no identification of individual Users, for the purpose of improving the Service.

6. When creating anonymized information, the Company shall adhere to the following:
   (1) Conduct proper processing in accordance with standards set by law.
   (2) Take safety management measures to prevent leakage of deleted information or processing methods according to standards set by law.
   (3) Disclose the types of information included in the anonymized information in accordance with legal standards.
   (4) Refrain from actions that would identify the individual related to the original Personal Information.
   (5) When providing anonymized information to third parties, disclose the types of personal information included and clarify that the information is anonymized.

7. In accordance with Common Terms and this Policy, the Company may provide Personal Information to third parties outside Japan. Possible countries and regions for provision include the following. Information on the personal information protection systems in such countries/regions can be found on the Personal Information Protection Commission’s website (https://www.ppc.go.jp/personalinfo/legal/kaiseihogohou/#gaikoku):
   (1) United States
   (2) Republic of Indonesia
   (3) Republic of Singapore

Article 7: Disclosure and Correction
1. Users may request disclosure of their Personal Information held by the Company through procedures specified by the Company. For requests, please contact the Company’s inquiry form. However, this does not apply in cases where:
   (1) It cannot be confirmed that the request is from the User.
   (2) Disclosure may harm the life, body, property, or other rights/interests of the User or a third party.
   (3) Disclosure would seriously hinder the appropriate execution of the Company’s business.
   (4) Disclosure would violate other laws or regulations.

2. If the Personal Information held by the Company about a User is incorrect, the User may request correction, addition, or deletion (hereinafter referred to as "Correction") of that information through procedures specified by the Company. The Company shall promptly conduct necessary investigations to achieve the intended purposes and make corrections based on the findings.

3. In the case of disclosure procedures in Paragraph 1, the Company may request submission of documents proving the User’s identity to confirm that the disclosure request is made by the User.

Article 8: Essential Personal Information for Account Maintenance
If the User does not consent to the provision of essential Personal Information (e.g., email address) necessary for account maintenance or use of the Service, they will not be able to use the Service.

Article 9: Deletion of Service Account


When a User deletes their account with the Service, the Company shall appropriately handle the User Information in accordance with Common Terms, Individual Terms, and this Policy.

Article 10: Disclaimer
The Company shall not be responsible for any acquisition of Personal Information by third parties, including the following:
1. When the User discloses Personal Information to a third party using the functions of the Service or other means.
2. When an individual can be identified based on the information entered by the User on the Service.
3. When Personal Information is viewed or stolen by a third party outside the control of the Company while using a non-TLS browser for account creation, application, or order placement, or when providing User Information via email.
4. When damages occur to Users or third parties due to unauthorized access despite the Company’s security measures.

Article 11: Access from Outside Japan
Access to the Service from countries or regions where the Service’s usage, management, operation methods, or posted content are deemed illegal or inappropriate is prohibited.

Article 12: Revisions
This Policy may be revised. Upon revision, the Company shall display the revised Policy in a manner specified separately by the Company and notify Users of the revision through methods specified by the Company.

Article 13: Inquiries
1. The Company shall ensure that retained Personal Information can be easily accessible to the individual concerned, except when it may hinder the appropriate execution of the Company’s business. Confirmation of the content and requests for corrections or deletions shall be conducted through methods prescribed by the Company.
2. Inquiries regarding the User's own Personal Information, corrections, deletions, or complaints, as well as inquiries regarding this Policy, shall be made by the User through the Company’s inquiry form.

Article 14: Use of Cookies and Advertising Identifiers
When the User uses the Service or views pages, the Company automatically acquires and records information regarding the User’s cookies, Google Advertising ID (AAID), and other advertising identifiers provided by various companies (hereinafter referred to as "Cookies and Advertising Identifiers"), including the User's viewing of ads, pages, applications, usage environment, etc., on the Company's servers. This information does not identify individuals and is solely used to enhance the Service and optimize ad distribution. The purposes and usage methods are outlined below:

1. Saving Basic Settings
   Cookies may be used to save User preferences, such as customized displays, to provide a more comfortable Service environment.
2. Login and Account Authentication
   The Service uses cookies for account auto-authentication. Logging in with a personal account allows Users to navigate pages or use the Service on subsequent logins without re-entering account information.
3. Understanding Usage and Improving Service
   To provide services that are better suited to Users' interests and needs, the Company monitors usage of the Service and analyzes crash or bug data using Google Analytics and other third-party services. Google Analytics analyzes Service usage with cookies. Collection and usage of access information by each service are governed by the terms and privacy policies of each service.

4. Conducting Surveys
   Google Forms and other tools are used to conduct surveys within the Service. Google Forms use cookies that do not include Personal Information. For details, refer to Google’s Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

Article 15: Opting Out of Cookies and Advertising Identifiers
Users can choose whether to allow the use of cookies and advertising identifiers. However, if cookies and advertising identifiers are disabled, some settings and functions that rely on them within the Service may not be available.
